It can be really hard to feel rejected and unloved. If you have never met anyone who loves you, then you are probably looking in the wrong places. You need to understand that God loves you.
God was the first person to demonstrate his love for you. His love for you is unconditional. He speaks this love to you in different ways hoping you would reciprocate it. He compiled his letters of love to you and placed them in the Bible.
The LORD appeared to me (your name) from ages past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you. Jeremiah 31: 3
God reveals his love for you in many ways. He created the world you live in for your comfort. He keeps an eye on you day and night. Read this article to learn about God’s love and answer his call. Let us take a closer look at how he expresses his love for you.
Why Does God Love You?
You are God’s most prized creation. He prepared the earth as a home for you and provided all you would need for food, shelter and clothing. However, sin separated you from God but God gave all to ensure He got you back. This is how you know he loves you.
He Created You
You were created in the image and form of God. He chose your race, skin color, size, height, and other physical attributes you possess. You are perfect for your being. God gave you the abilities you have as His blessing to you.
So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1: 27
You are not a mistake. If your parents did not plan for you, God already did. He determined when you would arrive. The angels threw a birthday party when you were born. Heaven celebrated your arrival on Earth, God knew you were coming.
I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14
He Knows You
Although there are billions of people on earth, God knows and calls you by name. He watched over you when you were being formed in your mother’s womb. He knows the silent thoughts of your heart.
Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows. Luke 12:7
He thinks about you constantly and can point out your exact location anyday. When your family and friends abandon you, when no one remembers you, God does, because your name is written on the palm of His hands.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
He Has A Plan For You
There was an intention in God’s heart when He formed you. He had a plan and he is willing to share it with you. This purpose will give meaning to your life. He wants you to be fulfilled, and filled with joy. Everything that has a need is useful, so also are you.
For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
The only way to realize what and why you were created, is to speak with your maker. He knows the best life you can have and the best choices you should make. His love gave you life, this life that he offers gives you a meaning. It makes life worth living.
He Redeemed You
Jesus, the son of God, bought you with his blood. You were bought with a price. The devil sought to keep you in his care, he desired to separate you from God forever. But Jesus paid for your sins. He died the death that should have been yours.
For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16
His love for you drove him to bear the ultimate punishment. If you were the only one on earth, he would still have died. Jesus offers you a free invitation to meet your father. He has given you access to the father, but he needs you to receive and believe.
Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6
Now you know why you are important to God. Always remember why He loves you. Your response to God’s love is accepting that Jesus died for you and resurrected to give you life. If you have not made that decision today, YOU CAN DO THAT NOW.
